The Filmlosopher’s – Lesson 17: The Legend of Tarzan – Reunion Tour

Hey Geeks – Last night I had the privilege of being a guest speaker on an amazingly fun and witty local Sacramento podcast: The Filmlosophers. I met Eddie Villanueva and Chad Riley at a movie screening a couple of weeks ago and just earlier this week we connected again at the press screening for Legend of Tarzan. We got to talking after the movie and the next thing I know, I’m at VGB Studios sitting down behind a mic to drop knowledge and chitchat with the fellas.

It was such a great experience and I highly recommend subscribing to their podcast. They provide in depth knowledge and insight about recent movies and older films. Truly a great duo and I hope to work with them in the future on upcoming projects and maybe just checkout a flick or two.

The Filmlosophers, Eddie Villanueva and Chad Riley, welcome Girl Geek HQ’s Erika Ashley for a detailed review of this week’s new release, The Legend of Tarzan (2016). From the historical backdrop to the score – and reactions to the performances of Alexander Skarsgård, Margot Robbie, Samuel L. Jackson and Christoph Waltz – there is much to discuss about this surprisingly detailed interpretation of a classic character. Additional news items include the second issue of Marvel Comics’ “Captain America: Steve Rogers (2016),” which reveals the truth behind “HydraCap,” as well as the 2017 Hollywood Walk of Fame honorees and information about a charity screening of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) with author J.K. Rowling and film star Eddie Redmayne.
